60-Hour CCE Certified Life Coach Training–Course Description

Course Summary:
Coach a student partner (weekly for a total of 4 sessions) using Margaret McCraw’s four-step Harmonic Matching Process. Coaching sessions will be recorded using BHLD’s designated recording system. Sessions will address relationships, health, career/prosperity along with creating a life vision and a life plan (Integration Session). You will also be coached by your fellow student partner (4 weekly sessions) in the area of relationships, health concerns, career, and prosperity. In addition, you will create a life mission statement and a personal vision statement along with creating a life plan to support you in achieving your goals. You will be expected to listen to your recording when you are in the role of the coach and to complete the BHLD self-evaluation “Audit Tool” to assess your skill set. In addition, your client will provide you with written feedback using the Client Feedback “Audit Tool” provided by BHLD. All coaching sessions must be a minimum of 50 minutes in order to receive course credit toward your certification.
Course Objectives:
- Identify at least four questions that may be addressed in the assessment process
- Utilize a cognitive reframing tool to transcend barriers in relationships
- Apply a four step model to assist clients in achieving relationship goals
- Identify at least four questions that may be addressed in assessing health related concerns.
- Utilize cognitive reframing as a tool to align thoughts, emotions and beliefs in a desirable direction to address a health related concern
- Apply a four step model to support clients in achieving health related goals
- Identify at least four questions that may be addressed in assessing career and/ or financial concerns
- Utilize cognitive reframing as a tool to align thoughts, emotions and beliefs in a desirable direction to address career and/or financial concerns
- Apply a four step model to support clients in achieving career and/ or financial related goals
- Identify at least four roles and responsibilities of a helping professional who is coaching individuals to create a fulfilling life. (“BHLD Coaching Guidelines” handout)
- Use at least two cognitive behavioral tools with your coaching partner to align thoughts, emotions and beliefs in a desirable direction to support them in integrating their desires (Refer to Cognitive Techniques handout)
- Apply BHLD’s Harmonic Matching Four-Step Model to support your coaching partner in achieving their life goals (Refer to the book The Relationship Code for the Four-Step Model)
8 weeks of training includes:
- Relationship Consultant Coursework/Certification
- Four weeks of Life Coach Training online Classroom Sessions
- Four weeks of Practicum Coaching with a Student Partner
- Tuition includes exam fee (exam may be retaken)
