Course Summary:

Coach a client who has a health related issue (bi-weekly) using BHLD’s (Margaret McCraw’s) four step Harmonic Matching Process. You will be given the tools and a telephone conference line to record your coaching sessions with your client. These sessions address stressors in the client’s life that may be contributing to a health related issue. You will be expected to use BHLD’s screening tool to determine if the client is appropriate for health coaching. You will be expected to use the BHLD self-evaluation audit tool to assess your skill set. In addition, your client will provide you with written feedback using the audit tool provided by BHLD.

Course Objectives

1. Identify at least three questions that may be addressed during the coaching session to determine stressors contributing to a health related issue
2. Apply the Harmonic Matching four step process to guide one client in achieving his/her health goal(s)
3. Use at least three cognitive reframing tools to help a client maximize his sense of emotional well-being
4. List four cognitive behavioral tools used by Bernie Siegel with his client’s (Love, Medicine and Miracles)
5. List three communication tools to help a client communicate openly about stressors which may be contributing to a health related issue
6. List three tools to help a client release fearful thoughts and enhance his/her sense of security and sense of well-being
