The perfect refresher courses for busy professional counselors and starting courses for those interested in working toward a coaching certification. As part of the Life coach Certification course, they can be rolled into a full certification.
Course 101 – Self-Empowerment & Intentional Living
Overview:

Course Summary:
Expand your awareness of Cognitive Behavioral Approaches to create greater happiness and success. The course offers a holistic approach to creating happiness and fulfillment based on the principles of well-being and abundance. Identify ways to increase your self-awareness to align thoughts, emotions, and beliefs with desirable outcomes. Participants will be able to identify how mission, vision, and value statements create the framework for purposeful living.
Course 102 – Create Fulfilling Relationships
Overview:
This course uses cognitive behavior techniques to explore the relationships people have with their parents, siblings, co-workers, employees, and romantic partners. Students learn how to align their thoughts, emotions, and beliefs with desires.

Course Summary:
This course uses cognitive behavior techniques to address the relationships people have with their parents, siblings, coworkers, employees as well as romantic partners. We will explore how to align our thoughts, emotions, and beliefs with our desires. Participants will increase self-awareness regarding personal and business relationships and develop new skills to address relationship dynamics in the therapeutic setting.
Course 103 – Health and Well-Being
Overview:
The course will lay the framework for how cognitive-behavioral techniques can be activated in one’s life. Participants will be provided with techniques to align body, mind, and spirit.

Course Summary:
The course will lay the framework for how cognitive-behavioral techniques can be activated in one’s life. Ten essentials of well-being will be addressed. Participants will be provided with techniques to align body, mind, and spirit. Concepts such as abundance, gratitude, forgiveness, lightheartedness, and compassion for oneself, and others will be interwoven with cognitive-behavioral approaches.
Course 104 – Work with Purpose and Passion
Overview:
This course focuses on how to find your passion in your work and live your life purpose and includes an option for certification if you take the exam.

Course Summary:
This course focuses on how to find your passion in your work and live your life purpose. The decision to create work that you love is an indicator of high self-esteem. A step-by-step guide to attracting work that fulfills your desires, talents, skill sets, and passions will be provided. Discover how to tune into your unique talents, build your self-esteem, release resistance, and take responsibility for creating a life with passion. A strategy for helping others to create meaningful work will be provided, along with a step-by-step model to align with your life purpose.

Course Summary:
This course is part two of Course #103, Health and Well-Being, and provides the student with a real-life coaching session addressing health and well-being. This training will further address the essentials of well-being and how to close the gap between desire and belief in order to align one’s thoughts, emotions, and beliefs with desires rather than aligning with fear. By closing the gap between desire and belief the student will learn how to align consciousness with well-being as a technique to stay in balance on all levels.
Course 107 – Enhance Your Career by
Flowing Resources and Opportunities
Overview:
This course is part two of Course 104, Work with Purpose and Passion. This course provides the student with a real-life coaching session addressing values, life purpose, and life vision and the opportunity to observe Margaret McCraw working with a client to gain clarity in order to live a more full life, integrating personal and professional intentions.

Course Summary:
This course provides the student with a real-life coaching session addressing values, life purpose, and life vision. The student will be able to observe Margaret McCraw working with a client to gain clarity in order to live a more full life, integrating personal and professional intentions. In addition, the student will be provided with a PowerPoint presentation addressing topics related to living fully from purpose and passion.
Course 105-8 – Life Coach Practicum
Overview:
Partner with a fellow student to coach one another (weekly for a total of 4 sessions) using Margaret McCraw’s four-step Harmonic Matching Process and create your own life mission and vision statements.

Courses 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107 and 108

Live Teleconference Training Presentation. You are required to complete reading and handouts specified in the classroom.
Course Summary:
Coach a student partner (weekly for a total of 4 sessions) using Margaret McCraw’s four-step Harmonic Matching Process. Coaching sessions will be recorded using BHLD’s designated recording system. Sessions will address relationships, health, career/ prosperity along with creating a life vision and a life plan (Integration Session). You will also be coached by your fellow student partner (weekly-4 sessions) in the area of relationships, health concerns, career, and prosperity. In addition, you will create a life mission statement and a personal vision statement along with creating a life plan to support you in achieving your goals.
You will be expected to listen to your recording when you are in the role of the coach and to complete the BHLD self-evaluation “Audit Tool” to assess your skillset. In addition, your client will provide you with written feedback using the Client Feedback “Audit Tool” provided by BHLD. All coaching sessions must be a minimum of 50 minutes in order to receive course credit toward your certification. Recorded coaching sessions will be verified by the BHLD Training Administrator to ensure that they are at least 50 minutes in length and that the coach has addressed the appropriate topic as designated in the online classroom for each session/ week. In addition, the coach audit forms and the client audit forms must be completed in its entirety and submitted to BHLD within 72 hours of completion of the coaching session.

Course 109 – Ethical Considerations for Coaches
Four hours of ethics-specific coach training for BCC credential recertification
Delivery Method: Distance/Online
Total CE Clock Hours: 4 (two 1.5 hour recordings and one 1.0 hour recording)
Overview: Enrollees will access three recorded discussions with coaches addressing ethical considerations led by the instructor, Margaret McCraw, BCC. The instructor is available via email to clarify the material and to answer questions.
Prerequisites: None

Required Materials: You are required to read the material assigned (refer to required reading)
Course Summary: You are required to read the material assigned and to listen to three recorded teleconference calls held with coaches.
Course Objectives:
- Define the meaning of intellectual property.
- Identify the period of time that BCC certificants and applicants may not engage in romantic or sexual relationships with former clients
- List at least two potential conflicts of interests that could occur between a coach and his/her client
- Explain the meaning of “reasonable steps to resolve conflicts of interests.”
- Identify at least four necessary components of a coaching service agreement
- List at least two ways of protecting client confidentiality
- Identify at least one action step that must be taken if the coach is concerned about the client hurting himself or someone else
- Give two examples of significant gifts that may not be offered or accepted outside the written coaching service agreement
